Stone Profile

  • Color: Blue
Very rare hue, not gray, not purple, not green – pure,
    deep blue
. This is the absolute top class for Blue Spinel, close to a Cobalt-Look BUT without the Cobalt-Price.
  • Cushion Mixed Cut
    voluminous, modern, sharp edges
Step portions = broad light windows
Brilliant portions = bright edge flashes
Perfect for combining darkness AND brilliance in one stone.
  • Transparent
no cloudy zones, no dead spots, despite extreme color depth → Premium Feature.
  • Unheated
Spinel is rarely treated, but an official "No Heat" is worth its weight in gold.
  • Almost "Metallic Blue" at some angles
an effect that only occurs in high-quality, deep blue spinels.
  • Character-Stone-Signature
deep core, dark "Abyss" zones, bright reflections on the facet windows. A stone that appears to swallow its own light and then spit it back out.

➡️ Technical specifications

Abyssal Frame is a stone that achieves its effect through structure and depth. The blue hue is evenly pronounced and falls within the range of a cool, slightly condensed blue that does not lean towards grey, yet retains a certain calmness.

At 2.03 carats, this spinel is one of the larger examples of its kind and shows sufficient volume to maintain a stable color effect. The combined cut of step and brilliant facets ensures controlled light guidance, where reflection and color remain clearly separated.

In contrast to highly sparkling stones, the focus here is not on maximum brilliance, but on directed perception: light is guided, not scattered. This creates an almost "architectural" effect within the stone.

The ICA report confirms the untreated condition, which is a relevant quality factor in the realm of colored spinels. At the same time, the stone exhibits a clean, structured appearance without dominant internal disturbances.

Abyssal Frame is a stone that doesn't appear loud, but rather precise – built from surface, line, and depth.
