➡️ Technical specifications

Crimson Paradox is a stone that cannot be fully defined by a single report. Its color is beyond question: a dense, powerful red with high saturation and distinct intensity, supported by a deep undertone.

At 1.68 carats, the spinel shows sufficient volume to maintain this color density stably. The classic cushion cut enhances the effect by concentrating the light within, rather than dispersing it into maximum brilliance.

Doubly certified (Lotus + ICA) - the uniqueness of this stone lies in the context of its findings. While one lab report documents near-surface structures (FF-02), a second, independent report confirms its untreated condition. This discrepancy is understandable: fresh polish and structured surface areas can be interpreted differently under magnified analysis. The oil residues stem from the repolishing, which Lotus unfortunately reflected accordingly in the certificate.

The internal inclusions are visible and clearly part of the material. Their appearance corresponds to known patterns, such as those that can occur in classic spinels from Myanmar, even if the origin could not be 100% determined in the report.

Crimson Paradox is not a stone defined by formal perfection. It represents the intersection between material, processing, and interpretation – and precisely therein lies its character.

Schwerpunkte: Identifikation, Behandlungserkennung und Herkunftsbestimmung (insb. Rubin, Saphir, Spinell); strikte, ästhetikorientierte Report‑Philosophie („the GEM is the most important part of gemology“) und eigenständige Forschung.
