Its color – an intense to deep pink with "crimson"-like depth – possesses a presence otherwise almost exclusively found in legendary Burmese deposits. It is not the "sweet" pink of many spinels, but a mature, strong, regal pink that glows like velvet in direct light.

The cut-cornered Rectangular Step Cut gives it impressive architecture.
